This was a really nice place for dinner. It's near to the world square a little walk to other side. The ambience of this place was amazing, good interiors and nice welcoming colors and songs. The service was good and friendly, the food was amazing after long time we had some tasty Indian food. Everything was amazing the taste was good but was modified to a little bit sweeter tooth as the chicken chilli was more like sweet chicken and it didn't make much sense of the name. But regardless we loved everything and the experience was great.

Great Nepalese restaurant with beautiful décor that creates a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The menu has plenty of delicious dishes and drinks to choose from, and the staff are very friendly. Everything we tried was really good, but the jhol momo was easily the star of the night.

I had a really good experience in this restaurant. Initially the board said Nepalese and Indian but it's a Nepalese restaurant. We ordered chicken Momo platter, Dahi poori, samosa chat, chilli chicken and beers. Dahi poori 10/10. Awesome flavour, chilled Dahi, crunchy poori. Chicken Momo platter was great. I would say 7/10. It came with fried, steamed, pan fried. And also with a sauce. 4 each. Then came the samosa chat, flavourful still something missing. 7/10. But the chilli chicken was very weird. I don't know if it's done like that in Nepali style. But all I could taste was ketchup. Just sweet. 6/10. The whole dining experience was awesome. The staff were really polite. The music was subtle and comfortable. The lighting was great. I'd recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a Nepalese restaurant with reasonable price and good taste!

Nepalese is more than just momos but I must say Kalapani is tasty and value for money when it comes to their momos - 10 pieces of big steamed buffalo momos for $15.99 (my picture only shows 8 because we were so hungry for them and ate one each before I realised to take photos!)
Tried a traditional Dhido set with chicken curry which included traditional buckwheat pudding - although I’d probably say it’s more like half baked bread with dough consistency. It is so filling. Apparently you pour the oil over it and have a selection of curry, pickles, vegetables, chutney, dahl etc to go with it. The cauliflower was amazing!
Staff were super helpful and friendly to explain traditional dishes. Will be back to try more new items… and of course more momos.

Had a lovely time at Kalapani Nepalese Restaurant near Town Hall. The food was delicious—flavorful, fresh, and really fun to eat with a great variety of traditional Nepalese dishes. The service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Definitely a great spot if you’re looking to try something a bit different in the city. Will be back!
